Super honest business with integrity. Vehicle failed smog at another establishment. Brought the vehicle to Golden Gear for emissions repair, they did a quick diagnostic and the car was able to pass emissions. Look em up, be glad you did.

So glad to have an opportunity to give a shout out to this amazing business. I highly recommend Golden Gear Automotive for their expertise and honest business practices. The first time we took our Hyundai Ioniq in because we were getting warning messages about the battery. GGA did in depth diagnostics and told us the hybrid battery (after 80,000 miles) was failing and needed to be replaced. They investigated and discovered the problem was still covered under Hyundai's amazing 100,000 mile warranty and suggested we take it to the dealership to be repaired under the warranty! And....they did not charge us for the diagnostics!! Wow! Integrity! Recently we took our car into GGA for some preventative maintenance and received excellent, very timely and well priced service. It's great to have a local place we trust for high quality service.

I payed 200 dollars for a diagnosis, just to learn that the ignition coils they supposedly tested were broken. I believe if they actually took apart the coils, they would’ve told me that they were broken, so they most likely just used an OBD scanner to diagnose my vehicle and called it a day. They were also wanting to charge 1500 for new spark plugs and ignition coils, which seems very high. I don’t appreciate dishonest work, so I have to give a single star

Stopped by, made an appointment for the next day to get my vehicle smog checked. Dropped it rhe next day and was out of there in under an hour. Passed the test, paid my bill, and on I went. Easy peasy.
